Happy Halloween 2014!

Happy Halloween everyone!  Here is a little recap of all the fun we had the past two days:

Panting pumpkins in the beautiful fall weather we had yesterday

Cutest 2 little teeth that I ever did see

The finished pumpkins...can you guess whose is whose?

Leaf pile jump

Ava's turn

And Madeline

Crazy faces

It's raining leaves

Baby watching all the fun

Halloween homeschooling fun:

Ava figuring out her haunted math addition problems

Ella putting her pumpkins in order from Biggest to smallest

Rose solved all her addition problems too

Madeline putting the ghosts in numerical order

Putting up the life cycle of a pumpkin

Gutting the pumpkin:

Baby got ahold of the bowl and spilled the seeds all over the table

Did I do that???

We never did get our pumpkin carved :(  Guess I dropped the ball a little this year.  But we did make a kid-friendly Halloween dinner for the girls.  (Paul and I ate our tradition white chicken chili).

Mummies, pumpkins, ghosts, and eyeballs for dinner

It was freezing for trick or treating this year, so we bundled up with layers and warm jackets before we headed out.  We lasted about 45 minutes, which was plenty long enough for me!

Rose went as Cruella Deville, Ava as Dorothy, Madeline as St. Kateri, and Ella as Dora

Chubby baby dino

Paul on baby duty

All bundled up

The girls ran around with their best buds...the McCarthys

After trick or treating in the neighborhood, we headed to New Song Academy for their
Nite Lite celebration.  The theme was movie night this year, so luckily everything was inside.
The girls were glad to run around with their school friends.  Rose was especially excited to hang
out with her BFF, Hunter!

They had a lot going on in one room; Despicable Me was playing on a big screen,  there was popcorn, bouncies, and a bunch of themed game/candy tables set up around the room.

Ella, Chloe, and Madeline eating snacks while watching the movie

Dorothy (Ava) trying a frisbee game

St. Kateri (Madeline) throwing rings over the milk bottles

Dora (Ella) tossing the balls in the bucket

We ended up with way too much candy!
Don't tell the girls, but I threw a bunch away after they went to bed.

*Alex, you'll be happy to know I threw away all the hard candy and most of the suckers :)

Mmmmm...candy!!!!

Hope you all had a HAPPY HALLOWEEN too!
