Paul's birthday was April 9th, but since he had to travel on his birthday, we celebrated as a family the Sunday before. We had a steak and mashed potato dinner, per request, then Paul opened his gifts.
It was very sweet...each of the girls wanted to give Paul something so they scoured through their things to find just the right gift. It was hilarious what they came up with.
| A princess crown and necklace packed in a picnic basket from Madeline |
| Peanut butter from Rose because she knows how much he loves peanut butter |
| And a letter A because Dad is awesome, from Ava |
And new hiking boots from all of us. The girls all had to try them on...luckily Paul is good at sharing :)
| Daddy with his girls |
| Like father, like daughters |
Then peanut butter chocolate pie for dessert.
| Singing Happy Birthday |
| Rose decorated the Happy Birthday sign on the wall |
We were glad to be able to celebrate together with our favorite man of the house. The girls think the world of him (as do I, of course). I couldn't have asked for a better husband or father for my kids!
(On his actual birthday, he just happened to be in Memphis for work, so Max and Taylor treated him to dinner. They also made him a sweet birthday video you can check out here
