Rose's 7th Birthday

Rose turned 7 last month.  Man, does time go fast. A lady once told me to appreciate each day with my kids, because the more kids you have, the faster time seems to go.  She was not kidding!  How did Rose get to be a first grader already?!

It just so happened that Rose got to have 4 celebrations for her birthday this year.  This was perfect for her, because she looks forward to this day all year.  She starts to plan her party for next year as soon as her current party ends.

SO excited to get Daddy's OLD i-pod!  She didn't care that it dies after 10 min.!

We had a small family celebration the day before her birthday, because Paul had to go out of town the next day.  We ate lunch together, then Paul took her to pick out one of her presents; a fish!  The next day, we headed to Carmel and met my mom and four of their cousins at the movie theater to see Turbo.

Silly pose (or maybe I should say "sillier" pose!)

Then she got to celebrate with many of her favorite people in Carmel who came over to my parents' house for pizza and dessert.

All the Titus cousins, minus the 2 babies (Xavier and Anthony)

Singing was SO loud...a little too much for the birthday girl

I had to get a picture of her shoes.  They used to be my sister Madeline's and my mom
just gave them to her on her birthday.  She didn't take them off the whole day.  I thought
it was funny that she had a fancy dress-up dress on and Converse high-tops :)

On the 25th, my sister Madeline's birthday, we drove up to Cindy's Diner (my grandparents' diner) in Ft. Wayne with my mom and a bunch of Madeline's friends.  Such a fun road trip!  We don't get to go to the diner but once or twice a year, so we were excited to get an extra visit and surprise my Grandpa!

Drinking milkshakes from character cups!

We put candles in some of Grandpa's delicious Murphy's donuts, then sang happy birthday to my Madeline and Rose.

Then about a week later, we had her birthday party with friends.  She decided on a luau theme this year with water games, limbo, pinata, and finally a hair station.  She narrowed down her long list of friends (pretty much everyone she knew) to 4 girls; 3 from our homeschool group and one of our neighbors from our old house.

Let the games begin...

Fill the bucket relay

Team Ava, Amelia, & Catherine

Team Ally, Rose, and Ceci

Playing Duck, Duck, Splash...they started using a water balloon, but it wouldn't break, so...

...they moved on to buckets.  They were much more effective!

...which turned into an all-out water fight

I love Ceci's face in this one!

Ella was the dj :)

My sisters, Madeline and Olivia, were here to help.  Lucky me!  Not only did they lighten the work load, but they made everything a lot more fun!

Daddy even got in character.  Rose didn't know what to think.

Pinata time!

Anxiously waiting to fill their buckets!

And the vultures swarm in ;)

My sister, Madeline, is amazing at hair.  Every time we see her she does something awesome to my girls' hair.  I wish I had her skills.  When Rose found out that she would be there for her party, she immediately decided to have a hair station so she could do something awesome to all her friends' hair too.

I mean, how cool is this braid?!

Oh, and somehow make-up always enters the equation, so here is Rose putting make-up
on everyone as a finishing touch

Every year seems to be Rose's best birthday ever, so I guess this party takes the new place on the top.  I can only imagine what she is dreaming up for next year?!
